Existing data security situation

On the basis of the study of the topic "Security of data" the fact was ascertained that for most enterprises, the security of important data concerning the technical view is absolutely insufficient:

90 %	of computer data carriers are not technically correctly archived.
77 %	of documents are not technically correctly stored.
73 %	of computer carriers are not in production enterprises sufficiently protected against „production-technical influences“.
68 %	of computer data carriers in the area of research are not sufficiently secured against theft and espionage.

Sensitivity of data carriers

One of the most reliable methods in which it is possible to protect archived data is its storage into especially constructed fireproof safes.

In the past, many test laboratories and experts dealt with the sensitivity of data carriers and its maximum permitted temperatures. Some of these are the Technical University in Braunschweig (Germany), the National Swedish Institute for the Testing of Materials and the Fire Attestation and Research Institute (Czech Republic). We prepared a table of the ascertained results from which it shows that, e.g. in the case of fire, standard office furniture or common safes and steel boxes cannot provide the respective protection to your CD-ROM and other data carriers.
